Scope

This section specifies the application standards for electrical drive systems and demonstrates their mapping in current communication systems through the use of a universal interface model.
The functions specified in this section are not intended to ensure functional safety. According to relevant standards, agreements, and legal requirements, additional measures are needed to ensure functional safety.
This section applies to the universal interface between electrical drive systems (PDS) and control devices used in control programs. This PDS universal interface does not specifically refer to any particular communication network technology. The appendix of this section details the application of different drive specifications in the PDS universal interface.
