Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for the selection of station sites and frequencies, power limits, minimum elevation angles, and power flux densities when microwave relay communication systems (hereinafter referred to as microwave relay systems) share frequencies with space radio communication systems within the range of 1 GHz to 40 GHz.
This standard applies to microwave relay systems, but not to beyond-line-of-sight radio relay communication systems and tropospheric scattering communication systems with high-sensitivity receivers. This standard does not include the case of frequency sharing between satellite broadcasting services and terrestrial radio services.
