Basic Information

Standard Code: GB/T 6553-2024
Standard Type: National standards
Standard Status: Active
is_force_gb: no
CCS Name: Electrician's insulating materials and their products
ICS Name: Other standards related to electricity and magnetism

Pages: 20 pages

Scope

This document describes two methods for evaluating the resistance to electrical tracking and corrosion of electrical insulation materials used in harsh environmental conditions, using liquid pollutants and inclined test samples at a frequency of 50 Hz (45 Hz to 65 Hz).
—— Method 1: Constant voltage method.
—— Method 2: Step-by-step voltage increase method.
Method 1 is more widely used because it does not require continuous observation.
The test conditions are designed to accelerate the occurrence of effects, but not to replicate all the conditions encountered in actual use.
