This standard specifies the method for determining the content of soluble heavy metals (lead, chromium, cadmium, barium, mercury, arsenic, selenium, and antimony) in adhesives.

The method detection limits in this standard are as follows: lead: 2.5 μg/kg; chromium: 4.0 μg/kg; cadmium: 0.5 μg/kg; barium: 10 μg/kg; mercury: 0.15 μg/kg; arsenic: 1.0 μg/kg; selenium: 1.0 μg/kg; antimony: 1.0 μg/kg.
