Scope
This standard defines the terms and definitions of Raman fiber amplifiers (hereinafter referred to as "RFA"), as well as abbreviations; it specifies technical requirements, testing methods, environmental and mechanical performance tests, inspections, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements.
This standard applies to modular products of distributed Raman fiber amplifiers (hereinafter referred to as "DRFA").
