Scope

This document defines the terms and definitions for determining the potential milling yield of rice and brown rice, and describes the principles of the measurement method, instruments and tools, sampling, sample preparation, measurement steps, result calculation, precision, and test reports.
This document is applicable to laboratories using rice milling equipment to determine the milling yield of rice or steamed rice, the brown rice yield of rice, and the whole and polished rice yield of rice or steamed rice and brown rice.
