Scope

This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage, and maintenance of temperature sensors for automobiles (hereinafter referred to as "sensors").
This document applies to temperature sensors for M, N, and O-class automobiles, including engine coolant temperature sensors, oil temperature sensors, engine intake air temperature sensors, and environmental temperature sensors. Other automotive temperature sensors should be implemented in accordance with this document.
