Scope

This standard specifies the principles, requirements, and measures for lightning protection safety management. This standard applies to flammable and explosive construction projects and sites such as oil depots, gas depots, ammunition depots, chemical warehouses, fireworks and pyrotechnics, petrochemical plants, etc. It also applies to sites requiring separate installation of lightning protection devices, such as mining areas, tourist attractions, or buildings and facilities that have been put into use in areas prone to lightning, as well as large-scale projects with high lightning risk but no lightning protection standards or specifications, which require special demonstrations. Other lightning protection safety management can be referenced for use.
