Scope
This document defines the terminology of horizontal dovetail machines and their main components, specifies the geometric accuracy inspection and corresponding tolerances, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to the accuracy inspection of horizontal dovetail machines for general use and ordinary precision requirements.
This document is not applicable to the operational tests of horizontal dovetail machines (such as vibration, abnormal noise, and creep of components), nor to the characteristic tests of machine tools (such as speed and feed rate).
