Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, forms and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection conditions, inspection methods, marking and packaging of vernier height gauges, dial-indicator height gauges, and digital display height gauges. This standard applies to vernier height gauges, dial-indicator height gauges, and digital display height gauges (hereinafter referred to as "height gauges") with a division value/resolution of 0.01 mm, 0.02 mm, 0.05 mm, and 0.10 mm, and a measurement range of (0–150) mm to (0–1000) mm.
