Scope
This document specifies five test methods for determining stress corrosion sensitivity parameters and establishes unified test procedures and technical requirements for measuring the stress corrosion sensitivity parameters of quartz optical fibers.
This document is applicable to the measurement of stress corrosion sensitivity parameters of Class A1 multimode optical fibers, Class A2 multimode optical fibers, Class A3 multimode optical fibers, Class B single-mode optical fibers, and Class C single-mode optical fibers. Other types of quartz optical fibers may be used for reference.
