Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the efficiency through testing and prescribes the testing methods for obtaining various losses. This standard applies to all DC motors, AC synchronous motors, and induction motors within the scope specified by IEC 600341. Note: This method is also applicable to other types of rotating motors, such as rotating converters, AC commutator motors, and single-phase induction motors, etc.
