Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, reagents and materials, instrumentation and equipment, samples, test procedures, test data processing, precision, and test reports for the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in coatings using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
This standard applies to the determination of PAHs in coatings and coated films, including but not limited to the PAHs listed in Table A.1 of Appendix A. The determination of PAHs in raw materials for coatings can refer to this standard.
