This guidance technical document specifies the general usage conditions, technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and transportation for 1,000 kV porcelain, composite porcelain core, and composite support insulators. This guidance technical document applies to outdoor porcelain, composite porcelain core, and composite support insulators (hereinafter referred to as insulators) used on power equipment and devices operating in AC substations with a nominal voltage of 1,000 kV and a frequency of 50 Hz.
