Scope
This standard specifies the method of laboratory pulping using a PFI mill. This method is limited to the sampling and pulping of pulp, the sampling and distribution of samples, and the pulping equipment.
Note: Pulping is a preparatory stage for testing the physical properties of pulp.
This standard is applicable to various chemical pulps and semi-chemical pulps. In practical operations, for some pulps with very long fibers, this method may not yield satisfactory results when used for measurement.
