Scope

This standard specifies the general principles and methods for the design of seawater desalination projects centered on reverse osmosis technology. This standard applies to the design of new, expanded, and modified reverse osmosis seawater desalination projects with a water production capacity of 100 m3/d or more. The design of seawater and high-salinity brackish water (with a total dissolved solids concentration of ≥10,000 mg/L) desalination projects on a smaller scale can be used for reference.
