Scope

This standard specifies the gas chromatography method for determining pyridine in ambient air and waste gas. This standard is applicable to the determination of pyridine in ambient air, air from unorganized emission monitoring points, and waste gas from organized emissions of fixed pollution sources. When collecting ambient air and air from unorganized emission monitoring points with a sampling volume of 30 L and an absorption solution volume of 10 ml, the method's detection limit is 0.02 mg/m3 and the determination limit is 0.08 mg/m3; when collecting waste gas from organized emissions of fixed pollution sources with a sampling volume of 30 L and an absorption solution volume of 50 ml, the method's detection limit is 0.09 mg/m3 and the determination limit is 0.36 mg/m3.
