Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification and specifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and product marking for plastic geogrids, as well as their transportation and storage. This standard applies to plastic geogrids with a flat mesh structure, which are mainly made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene (PP) and are produced through plastic extrusion, punching, and stretching. This standard does not apply to geogrids made from welded plastic reinforcing strips or those woven from chemical fibers or glass fiber materials.
