Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the water and sediment content in crude oil using centrifugal separation.
This standard is applicable to crude oil.
The water content determined by this standard in crude oil is generally lower than the actual water content. When a higher measurement accuracy is required, the sediment determination should be carried out using GB/T 6531, and the moisture determination should be carried out using GB/T 8929.
