Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, marking, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, and packaging and marking for silk twisting yarns. This standard applies to the quality assessment of silk twisting yarns with a nominal fineness of 49 denier (54.4 dtex) or less, made from raw silk with a count of 1,500 twists/m and 2 to 9 strands.
