Scope
This document specifies the requirements for the refurbishment process of pneumatic tires.
Note: It does not include the plasticating and mixing processes of rubber for refurbished tires; nor does it include the manufacturing processes of pre-vulcanized treads, pre-vulcanized buffer rubber, and other materials.
This document applies to the refurbishment of pneumatic tires for cars, trucks, and construction machinery, but does not apply to the refurbishment of replacement pneumatic tires with reinforcing layers or the refurbishment of solid tires.
