Scope

This standard specifies the general rules for measuring the zeta potential of colloidal particles using electrophoresis. This standard is applicable to the analysis of the zeta potential of colloidal particles with a smooth surface and water as the dispersion medium. The analysis of the zeta potential of non-ideal hard sphere colloidal particles and soft sphere colloidal particles can also be carried out with reference to this standard.
