Scope

This document specifies the design and installation of AC and DC electrical systems for electric propulsion and/or hybrid propulsion (with rechargeable batteries and fuel power sources).
This document applies to the following electric propulsion systems, used either separately or in combination:
——DC with a voltage of less than 1,500 V;
——single-phase AC with a voltage of not more than 1,000 V;
——three-phase AC with a voltage of not more than 1,000 V.
This document applies to electric propulsion systems installed on boats with a length of not more than 24 m (LH meeting the requirements of ISO 8666 standard).
Appendix A of this document lists additional information included in the boat owner's manual, and Appendix B lists additional information for installers.
