Scope

This part of GB 20840 applies to newly manufactured single-phase capacitive voltage transformers with grounded windings, whose maximum equipment voltage (Um) is ≥72.5 kV and frequency is 15 Hz to 100 Hz. They provide low-voltage signals for measurement, control, and relay protection devices.
Capacitive voltage transformers can be equipped with wave attachments for power line carrier (PLC) systems with a carrier frequency of 30 kHz to 500 kHz.
The basic requirements for coupling capacitors and capacitive voltage dividers are in accordance with GB/T 19749. The transmission requirements for power line carrier (PLC) combined devices are in accordance with GB/T 7329.
Measurement functions include indication measurement and billing measurement.
