Scope

This document specifies the monitoring system for breakdown and discharge of gas-insulated transmission lines (GILs), technical requirements, on-site deployment, monitoring and positioning, and detection and maintenance. This document is applicable to the monitoring and positioning of breakdown and discharge in AC GILs with a rated voltage of 72.5kV to 1100kV. GILs of other voltage levels should refer to this document for implementation.
