Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, factory acceptance, arrival acceptance, and handover acceptance for rigid polymer insulators used in high-voltage overhead lines. This document applies to rigid polymer insulators (hereinafter referred to as insulators) used in AC systems with a nominal voltage higher than 1000V.
