Scope
This document describes the scanning electron microscope (SEM) measurement method for determining the length of the heat-affected zone (HAZ) of various precious metal bonding wires (hereinafter referred to as "bonding wires").
Method I of this document is applicable to the determination of the HAZ length of bonding wires.
Method II of this document is applicable to the determination of the HAZ length of pure metals, alloys, or composite bonding wires with a diameter not exceeding 50 μm.
