Scope

This standard specifies the energy efficiency grade, energy efficiency limit value, target energy efficiency limit value, energy-saving evaluation value, and testing methods for heating furnaces used in the petroleum industry.
This standard applies to heating furnaces used in the petroleum industry that are fueled by gas or liquid (oil) energy and have a rated heat load ranging from 40 kW to 12,000 kW, and are used in onshore oil and gas fields and long-distance pipelines at altitudes below 3,500 m (hereinafter referred to as heating furnaces).
