Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for gold-bearing charcoal, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and the contents of purchase orders (or contracts).
This standard applies to gold-bearing charcoal produced by cyanide gold extraction processes (such as heap leaching, tank leaching, and carbon-slurry processing).
This standard also applies to gold-bearing charcoal produced from the recovery of gold from cyanide waste liquids and tailings pond supernatants.
