Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, and test methods for all-terrain vehicle seats, seat fixings, and headrests.
This standard applies to forward-facing seats for adults in multi-functional all-terrain vehicles and Type II recreational off-road vehicles, and their fixing devices (regardless of whether the seats have headrests or not).
This standard does not apply to cross-riding saddles, folding seats, side seats, rear seats, and split seats of four-wheeled all-terrain vehicles.
