Scope

Scope: This document specifies the methods of rain-shading cultivation, garden construction, shaping and pruning, water, fertilizer, and soil management, and comprehensive prevention and control of diseases and pests for red Yang kiwis in the southeastern region of Yunnan Province. This document is applicable to the rain-shading cultivation of red Yang kiwis in the southeastern region of Yunnan Province. Main technical content: 1. Terms and definitions: There are no terms or definitions that need to be defined in this document. 2. Seedlings and rootstocks: It is recommended to use Ovate kiwis as rootstocks, and the quality of seedlings should meet the requirements of GB 19174, with a quarantine certificate or other valid certificates required. 3. Garden construction: 3.1 Site selection: The environmental conditions of the garden site should comply with NY/T 391. Select a site with a sheltered and sunny orientation, good irrigation and drainage, deep soil layers, a pH of 5.5 to 7.5, sufficient water sources, and a slope of less than 25°. 3.2 Soil preparation and leveling: 3.2.1 Comprehensive planning of roads, irrigation and drainage systems, fertilizer management houses, and windbreak forests should be carried out according to local conditions. 3.2.2 Level the garden site. Apply 90 to 150 tons of composted farmyard manure per hectare, then plow the fertilizer into the soil to a depth of 30 to 40 cm. Use mechanical ridging with a north-south orientation, a width of 3 m, and a length determined by the terrain.
