GB/T 1796的本部分规定了轮胎气门芯(以下简称气门芯)的型号标记，结构型式，零件材料，螺纹，外观，扭矩，密封性，其他性能，试验方法，检验规则，标识、包装和贮存。
本部分适用于乘用车、载重汽车、工业车辆、工程机械、农业机械、林业机械、拖拉机、摩托车、电动车和力车轮胎气门嘴用气门芯。
本部分不适用于航空轮胎气门嘴用气门芯。
