Scope
This document specifies the arrival storage, transfer and transportation, construction and installation, pre-commissioning inspection, operation and maintenance, inspection, and file management of composite insulators used in high-voltage overhead lines. This document applies to composite insulators used in AC systems with a nominal voltage of 1000V and above, and DC systems with a nominal voltage of ±1500V and above (hereinafter referred to as composite insulators). Polymer insulators made of materials other than silicone rubber can be implemented with reference to this document.
