Scope

This part of GB/T 12010 specifies the method of measuring the characteristic viscosity of aqueous solutions of polyvinyl alcohol materials using an Ostwald viscometer and calculating the average polymerization degree of polyvinyl alcohol materials based on the characteristic viscosity.
This part is applicable to the determination of the average polymerization degree of polyvinyl alcohol materials with an alcoholysis degree greater than 70% (mole fraction).
