Scope

This standard specifies the test method for stretching metal tube rings until they break, thereby exposing surface and internal defects of the metal tube ring samples. This standard can also be used to evaluate the ductility of metal tubes.
This standard applies to metal tubes with an outer diameter greater than 150 mm, a wall thickness not exceeding 40 mm, and an inner diameter greater than 100 mm.
