Scope

This standard specifies a series of requirements that densimeters should meet when used in laboratories for routine measurement of liquid density. Specialized densimeters for special products or other densimeters not used under normal conditions are not included in this standard. Sufficient information to define these densimeters should be included in detailed specifications or relevant international standards describing their use. Appendix A contains a set of devices suitable for adjusting the neck level of Reischauer densimeters.
