Scope
This standard specifies the method outline, test preparation, test procedure, quality assurance and quality control, data and reporting for improving the inherent biodegradability of chemicals. This standard is applicable to testing the inherent biodegradability of water-soluble (with a DOC mass concentration in water of not less than 20 mg/L), non-volatile, organic substances that have no inhibitory effect on microorganisms at the test concentration, do not exhibit significant adsorption on the surface of the test glass containers, and do not lose due to foaming of the solution.
