Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the upper and lower concentration limits of combustible mixtures formed by the vapors of chemical substances and air under test temperature and normal pressure. In the test, inert gases can be used as diluents, but substances with higher oxidizing power than air cannot be used. This standard applies to vapor and gaseous substances.
