Scope

This standard specifies the determination of the water-extractable protein content in natural rubber medical gloves, and is also applicable to the determination of water-extractable protein content in other natural rubber products. However, the extraction process and frequency have not been verified, and may vary depending on the type of test samples. Appendix C introduces other methods for determining several special proteins in medical gloves, but these methods are not universally applicable.
