Scope

This document specifies the classification and marking, raw materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and factory certificates of fiber-reinforced composite protective pipes for cables. This document applies to fiber-reinforced composite protective pipes for cables (hereinafter referred to as "FRP protective pipes") made with glass fiber unidirectional roving and its products as reinforcement materials, and thermoset or thermoplastic resins as base materials, using fixed-length winding processes, continuous winding processes, continuous winding and laying processes, and braided winding and pultrusion processes. FRP protective pipes made by other processes can refer to this document for use.
