Scope

This standard specifies the grades and markings, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of copper and copper alloy castings (hereinafter referred to as castings).
This standard applies to castings made by sand casting, metal casting, continuous casting, centrifugal casting, and investment casting of copper and copper alloys. Castings produced by other methods may also be implemented in accordance with this standard.
