Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, structure and materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of humidifiers used in air conditioning equipment (referred to as humidifiers).
This standard applies to humidifiers used in ventilation, air conditioning, and air purification systems or equipment under comfort and process conditions. This standard does not apply to portable household humidifiers, medical distillers, and air washers.
