GB/T 4502-2016 Laboratory test methods for passenger car tyres capabilities
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the laboratory test methods for the performance inspection of car tires, including test terms and definitions, test equipment and accuracy, test conditions, test procedures, judgment criteria, and test reports. Among the proposed test methods, only the application of certain test methods needs to be determined based on the type of the tire being tested (with or without an inner tube, bias-ply tires or radial tires, etc.). This standard includes: (1) Unloading resistance test - evaluating the resistance value of the unloading of the tire bead from the rim of a tubeless tire. (2) Strength performance test - evaluating the structural performance of the tire crown by detecting its damage energy. (3) High-speed performance test - evaluating the high-speed driving performance of the tire according to its speed symbol. (4) Durability performance test - evaluating the tire's fatigue resistance by measuring the driving time under specified load and speed conditions. (5) Low-pressure performance test - evaluating the reliability of radial tires under low-pressure conditions by measuring the driving time under specified load, speed, and low-pressure conditions. The test methods listed in this standard are not suitable for grading the performance or quality level of tire products. This standard applies to new pneumatic car tires.
