Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the thickness of triacetin (TAC) films used in liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
This standard is applicable to the determination of the thickness of TAC films used in LCDs by mechanical measurement and X-ray methods. It is also applicable to the determination of the thickness of TAC films used in eyeglass lenses. It is not applicable to the determination of the thickness of TAC film embossed edges.
