Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for dimethylsiloxane polymer cyclic compounds. This standard applies to dimethylsiloxane polymer cyclic compounds produced from dimethyldichlorosilane by hydrolysis and cracking with hydrochloric acid. The dimethylsiloxane polymer cyclic compounds consist of components such as hexamethylcyclotrisiloxane, octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane, decamethylcyclopentasiloxane, and dodecamethylcyclohexasiloxane (referred to as total cyclic compounds in this standard).
