Scope

This part of GB/T 9996 specifies the inspection method for evaluating the appearance quality of yarns displayed on the blackboard, including the uniformity of yarn count and the appearance quality compared with the standard sample photos. This part uses a comprehensive evaluation method to assess the appearance quality of yarns on the blackboard. This part is applicable to the evaluation of the appearance quality of pure chemical fiber yarns of cotton type, blended yarns of cotton type and chemical fiber, and pure cotton and blended yarns of cotton and chemical fiber. This part is also applicable to the evaluation of the appearance quality of combed yarns used for ring spinning and knitting, pure combed cotton yarns, and air-jet spinning yarns. This part is not applicable to the evaluation of the appearance quality of wool yarns and other products.
