Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from equipment leaks and open liquid surface emissions. It prescribes the detection methods for VOCs from unorganized emission sources such as equipment leaks and open liquid surfaces, as well as the requirements for instruments and equipment, quality assurance, and control. This guideline is not applicable to directly measuring the mass emission rate of VOCs from leakage and open liquid surface emission sources.
