Scope
This standard specifies the determination methods for the total active substance content, the content of non-sulfated substances, and the average molecular weight of sodium alkyl sulfate ethoxylate. This standard is applicable to the determination of sodium alkyl sulfate ethoxylate. The determination method for the total active substance in this standard is also applicable to the determination of the total active substance in sodium alkyl phenol sulfate ethoxylate, where the total active substance includes organic substances soluble in ethanol: sodium alkyl sulfate ethoxylate (or sodium alkyl phenol sulfate ethoxylate), polyethylene glycol sulfate, and non-ionic components; the determination method for the average molecular weight is applicable to sodium alkyl sulfate ethoxylate products with no more than 20 ethylene oxide groups in each molecule.
