Scope

This part of GB/T 21931 specifies the determination of phosphorus content in nickel, nickel-iron, and nickel alloys by the phosphorus vanadium molybdenum yellow spectrophotometric method. This part is applicable to the determination of phosphorus content in nickel, nickel-iron, and nickel alloys. The determination range (mass fraction): 0.000 5% to 0.05%. The interference of elements such as arsenic, chromium, hafnium, niobium, silicon, tantalum, titanium, and tungsten can be eliminated by the complexation effect and volatility (e.g., chromium). When the content of interfering elements is low, the measured phosphorus content can reach a minimum of 0.000 5% (mass fraction).
