Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, symbols, abbreviations, materials, requirements, system applicability, test methods, inspection rules, and markings, packaging, transportation, and storage of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) pipes (hereinafter referred to as pipes) made from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) resin as the main raw material and extruded into shape. This document, together with other parts of GB/T 18998, applies to industrial chlorinated polyvinyl chloride pipe systems, including pressure-bearing water supply and drainage systems, as well as fluid transmission pipelines in fields such as water treatment, petroleum, chemical industry, electric power, electronics, metallurgy, mining, ships, electroplating, papermaking, food, and pharmaceuticals.
